2EOV-X: Latitude coordinate of the geographical position based on the EOV Hungarian projection, unit is meter.

4Compartment: Identifier of the forest compartment in the sampling unit is located; settlement (name), compartment (number), subcompartment (character).

5Age group: Age of the stand (dominant trees). 1: 20-50 yr.; 2: 51-80 yr.; 3: older than 80 yr.

6Forest zone: CS-KTT: Turkey oak – sessile oak forests; GYT: Sessile oak – hornbeam forests; B: Beech forests

7Dead wood volume (m3/ha): Volume of dead wood in unit area expressed in m3/ha

8Dead wood proportion (%): Proportion of dead wood (%) related to living timber volume.

9Standing dead wood proportion (%): Proportion of standing dead wood volume (%) related to total dead wood volume.

10Bryophyte species richness: Number of bryophyte species colonised dead wood in 1000 m2 area.

11Fungi species richness: Number of fungi species (polypore macrofungi, fungi with poroid and stereoid fruit bodies) colonised dead wood in 1000 m2 area.
